Our aim and objectives

 

Our aim

The Healthy Weight Programme aims to help people in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly achieve a healthy lifestyle with a particular emphasis on healthy eating, increased physical activity and achieving and maintaining a healthy weight. 

 

Our objectives

~ Support individuals to make informed choices around healthy eating particularly the increased daily consumption of fruit and vegetables and the decreased consumption of foods high in fat and sugar  

~ Support individuals in increasing the time they spend taking part in moderate level physical activity and raising awareness of the risks of sedentary behaviour   

~ Support individuals to make sustained behaviour changes that result in improved health and well-being

~ Work in partnership with the wider health community and external agencies to ensure that people within Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly receive appropriate support and guidance
